  • The Incredibles

    The Incredibles

So good. You might even say ...incredible. *clears throat* Anyway, it’s very good. A family of superheroes doing everyday relatable family things except they’re superheroes, such a good idea.

    Will I buy it?
I did, then when I moved out it got claimed by my brother as being his. -_-
This I’d forgot until going to rewatch it before seeing the sequel, luckily it was showing on the Disney Channel. Anyway, this is sort of irrelevant, yes is the answer. Yes, I would buy it and I may have to a second time.

    The First Purge

Stop making Purge films. I’m a fan but even I want no more unless something new is done. Something less samey. For example, I want to see one set in a hospital with patients who need 24 hour supervision. Do the doctors and nurses Purge? But what about their hypocratic oath? And then there’s the patients themselves? Either way, unless there’s to be something new just let the franchise end.

One good thing to come from this instalment is it…

    Early Man

This is probably the first Aardman film to leave me feeling a little disappointed. That said, it is good it’s just not as good as their other productions. I love Aardman, and have done since I was a kid. So who knows, perhaps my own anticipation was my downfall. In fairness though, if a film left me disappointed but I also still liked it that’s pretty good, right?

    Will I buy it?
Maybe. But I won’t be in a rush to do so.

    Space Jam

It pains me to say this, as I used to really like this film as a kid, but Space Jam is not a good film. It’s very short with very little to it. I get that it’s not a complex story but even the simplest of stories can make decent films, but this is lacking so much.

I do still like the music as much as I did when I was a kid though.
“Everybody get up, it’s time to slam now.”

    Will I buy it?
I got it for 50p from CEX, to show my kids. It was marginally successful with them.
