  Prior to watching this as a family tonight, I had only ever seen my dad cry a handful of times:
  - at the end of Toy Story 3
  - when Nadiya won her season of Bake-Off
  - that one video of that colour blind kid getting special glasses and seeing colour for the first time
  - whenever a Filipino person does marginally well on a singing competition

  I can now add the final scene of Thunder Road to things that have made my dad cry.
