My friend and I decided to see Singin' in the Rain today in a really packed theater. It really was amazing being together with all these people that were definitely there to honor Debbie Reynolds and to celebrate the film's 65th anniversary.

I love Singin' in the Rain. It is definitely my favorite musical film of all time. Gene Kelly is just a man of many talents: directing, dancing, acting, singing, choreographing, etc.

What I love so much about Singin' in the Rain is that it never fails to put a smile on my face. Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, and Debbie Reynolds make a spectacular trio. I know everyone talks about how perfect Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds are but I want to say that I love Donald O'Connor in this film. Make 'Em Laugh is definitely one of my favorite songs in the film and O'Connor just knocks it out of the park (and had to go to the hospital after that number, oops). Glad he at least got a Golden Globe for his performance.

Knowing how much work the whole cast put into this film REALLY shows. Everyone is near impeccable in this film. I still can't believe Debbie Reynolds had no prior dance experience before this film. She did better than I ever did when I did musical theater. Gene Kelly had a freaking fever when doing "Singin' in the Rain". I can't even get out of bed in the morning before work.

There is not a single bad song. None whatsoever. Every single song is fantastic. That's quite amazing for a musical.

I'm glad this film got recognition for being the best musical of all time because I really believe it is (although The Wizard of Oz comes close for me ;D).

In the packed theater I was in, people were literally clapping after certain musical numbers. I really don't know why but it was pretty neat. I guess it shows that even though nobody can hear their claps, they don't care, the audience is having a great time.

Happy 65th anniversary to Singin' in the Rain. Rest in peace Debbie Reynolds, you are my lucky star.
