Plot might be pretty cliché and the ending predictable, but it's the how it executes those clichés and how it gets to that ending that really make the film stand out. Stefano Sollima's direction is stellar and puts us through journeys of intensely immersive set pieces along with Michael B. Jordan's relentless performance as John Kelly. Jordan brings his A game as he always does and delivers one badass, ruthless and tragic action hero we can get behind. A solid political actioner with a touch of sweet revenge with constantly growing stakes and creatively intense set pieces. I can dig it.
