I liked the movie but I was hoping I’d love it. The 2018 one had me a lot more excited. There are plenty of things to praise it for, like the quantity and brutality of the kills and returning to ‘78. But overall it felt a bit too cookie cutter. Nothing organically stimulating was happening. I don’t know. It was okay, I’m in no rush to see it again but I’m sure I will, probably right before the next one.
