Castaway on the Moon ★★★★

This is a beautifully quirky dramatic/comedic/semi-romance about how a person can become detached from society and feel so isolated in different ways, and how small things can help that same person reconnect.

There are so many funny moments in this film, from Mr. Kim shouting at the world or desperately fighting off drowning while being shamed by the memories of those he has failed, or Ms. Kim with her scientific observations of the alien. The small stakes moments of triumph and tragedy are often simple and well done. The ending feels fitting and earned.

This is largely a feel good movie and one I would watch again.
