There's a lot of dissect with Luca Guadagnino's spellbinding Suspiria which definitely holds a candle to the original. To a certain degree that is. For me it lacked a bit in ambiguity while it fears simplicity during other moments. I feel as if Suspiria often gets suffocated by its own plot. That being said, it's a respectable take to say the least but never touches the bar set by the Dario Argento. The quality is obviously present but it battles with a spirit of the past.
