Aditya Nathan’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Goddamn racist, peckerwood, redneck, inch worm, needle-dick motherfuckers” is my new favorite insult.
Only Spike Lee can make a mainstream film this bold and outspoken in this subject matter and get away with it. Although it does thread a thin line in becoming a bit preachy, it never fully went to that territory. And even if it did, then I guess, so what? America needs a bit of preachin’ these days.
Sum fo’ real shit fo’ sure. Both J.D. Washington and Adam Driver was fantastic, but my favorite has got to be Topher Grace solidifying his role as the most hateable actor working today.
