The Thin Red Line

The Thin Red Line ★★★★★

For me the best "anti-war film" until today and one of the very few representatives who deserve this title.
Malick contrasts the war with beautiful pictures of the landscape, he lets you experience the feelings of those involved, he shows what devastating effects even the smallest mistakes (grenade) and, most importantly, he does not evaluate but only shows.
Against the usual genre clichés, he manages to pass on his message (the war can only one thing: destroy all life) to the viewer.
