Paris, Texas ★★★★½

What a strangely beautiful film with an exceptional performance by Harry Dean Stanton.

Some of the cinematography is incredible, and the whole story is really sobering as it gets closer to the end.
I don't think it was as sad or affecting to me as I wanted it to be, or expected, because I just didn't think the drama was anything really horrible.
However, the way we get to feel for these characters and the way the screenplay evokes these moments of emotion and conflict, it really breaks out.

My first Wim Wenders film, and it was a great one.

The final monologue and Travis' departure is the pinnacle of everything.
