Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
As my 4DX seat was thrashing me around, punching my back and spitting on me, i couldn’t hold onto my suspension of disbelief so maybe that’s the culprit. But Sully’s parenting style and the baby conversation with the whale threw me off too. Great fishies, banger nature, endless (and pretty) action entertained me. I think the movie def fulfilled it’s purpose of wilD innovation and visuals, but I can’t justify the dialogue lmao.

well it was disgusting to watch hollywood spoon-feed the public flashes of history distastefully buried in ‘the lives and desires of war criminals’. i hope whoever worked on it felt just as repulsed, but it is somehow hard to believe they didn’t get a kick out of their thrilling montages of cheney and the gang climbing up the ladder of destruction. I just think that some retellings of history don’t need an injection of palatability, excitement or flash.
