Pin ★★★

A tightly wound doctor projects his entire personality onto a medical dummy named Pin, presumably to escape the rigid confines of his own upbringing. His son inherits the bizarre delusion, and takes the fixation to an even darker place.

It’s one of the strangest premises for a movie I think I’ve ever seen, but writer/director Sandor Stern presents the material very sincerely, commits fully and never exaggerates it or bends the rules he sets up. The result is a sublimely unnerving psychodrama with some pretty brilliant moments of taut suspense and potent absurdity. I love this weird ass movie so much.
