Thedude3445’s review published on Letterboxd:
There are so many parts of this movie that shouldn't work. The whole subplot about the newscasters is superfluous. The villain plot is so convoluted. There's little stories (Hans Gruber pretending to be a hostage, Harry Ellis trying to negotiate, the glass on the floor) that last barely a scene before mostly resolving and letting the plot move forward.
There are so many parts of this movie that shouldn't work, and yet they work spectacularly.
