ATL Inspiration Marathon - Part 30
Stuart Gordon was the kind of director who could take absolute B-movie schlock with a paper-thin plot and elevate it into real greatness. There was no reason for Robot Jox to be anything other than mindless DTV garbage in typical Empire/Full Moon fashion, but thanks to Gordon, it's a riveting piece of fun filled with black comedy dystopia and one incredibly intense action climax. The last bit of this movie is iconic for 80s sci-fi lovers and deservedly so. I friggin' love that final scene!
