They should’ve named this movie: Rooney Mara eats an entire pie in one sitting: no cuts.

It just makes me tremendously happy that Gilliam got so many things of what the original project had and was missing. Maybe some of the script was lost through all this transition and times have changed as well, who knows, maybe the film would’ve been huge if it was completed back then. But now as we’ve seen some of these meta humor type of movies its not very surprising.
Part of the greatness of this film is the personality of…

Gaspar Noe is a filmmaker whose strength is to create experiences throughout the journey of his films. By rewatching climax i noticed the moments where the craft begins to unravel the terror and the feeling of the drug. Even though im always up for a Noe trip, this isnt a situation where i would like to see myself in.

Im a little afraid of addmiting that i didnt like this, but will give it another try sometime. I had an annoying girl clapping and laughing next to me. Hopefully that’s what ruined it for me.

I’ve been quite interested in Claire Denis films recently, and even though i still dont quite get her. Her work is very important to me by the way that i want to make films. Not straight forward at all but just communicating visually and through a character study. I’ve been dying to check out High Life, just because people have been saying its really weird and not interesting. Definitely has become one of my favorite female directors.

Truly appreciate Nicolas Winding taking the chance of not sacrificing his vision by making something so controversial. I quite enjoyed some of it but overall felt very cliché and almost like a teenage horror film. Remarkable cinematography, every shot looks gorgeous... but what the fuck man!
