Sean Gilman’s review published on Letterboxd :
More drinking than a Hong Sangsoo film. Hilarious and devastatingly sad, often simultaneously. Ozu's most explicit references to the war, in a film in which almost every shot contains red, white and blue. The Battleship March is one of the great musical sequences. My favorite Ozu, the only one I've seen on film and (I think) the only one I've ever seen in a theatre.
