Sean Gilman’s review published on Letterboxd :
I've never seen Tom Cruise try to not be charming. It makes him seem old. And its an odd choice, considering McQaurrie seems to think the character is supposed to be charming. But he also thinks he's supposed to be menacing, with shades of moral and extra-legal complexity, and Tom Cruise isn't that either. And he's supposed to be a superhero, and Tom Cruise isn't that either, no matter how many 5' tall extras you put on the screen.
Werner Herzog is in this movie. He is menacing.
