The Living Dead: Three Films About The Power of the Past ★★★

Episodic early Adam Curtis film that feels longer because of it, each of its three parts too internally repetitive for their 55 minute run-time. But the key idea, that human society and human beings are so bothered by trauma that they invent fanciful, ineffective and ultimately self-destructive beliefs about their past as a way of explaining it away, will be the foundation of most of his later work.
