This movie was so poetic in many ways and Chaney plays the bitter maniac with aplomb. The character and themes gave me shades of Phantom of the Opera, which is interesting. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the intensity of the inciting slap, however.
This movie had the most clowns I'd ever seen together at once. And one is frightening enough.

There exists a movie written by Ganz & Mandel where Cyndi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum play actual psychics hired (tricked) by Peter Falk to search for an lost Incan city of gold. Can you believe it?! How’d we get so lucky?
Jeff is also fortunate that this plot plays so well into his strength of fondling things and examining them in minute detail.
