Collin Taylor’s review published on Letterboxd:
There is some fucking hilarious shit in this movie.
Some of my favorite parts:
Boyega: “Can we do this?”
Character from first movie I don’t remember: “Yes.”
Cuts to a literal montage with rock music as the camera swoops around a bunch of people putting together robots.
Scott Eastwood: “Ready to save the world?”
One of the robots literally drags its two swords through a building, probably killing hundreds of people.
Everyone cheers at the end when they beat the monsters when the whole city of Tokyo is fucking destroyed.
The movie ends literally when the battle ends. Nothing happens after. There’s still so many questions that should be answered, and they’re too lazy to answer them. An absolute garbage movie. I almost fell asleep.
