    Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

This is gonna be a long one.

Today seemed like the perfect time to go back on one of my favorite movies ever made. Scott Pilgrim was a movie I didn't even like all that much when I first saw it, but with each subsequent viewing, it only ever grew on me. Before I knew it, I was watching it every night.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is one of the most quotable, well casted and entertaining films ever created.…

  • Climax

Climax is not only the best movie of 2018 (yes, even topping my previous pick Hereditary), it's one of the most impressive, jaw-dropping, terrifying and visceral movie watching experiences I have ever had in my life.

This is by far the best directed film of 2018. It's on par with Roma, just takes a different approach. I haven't been this impressed with sheer directing talent since Birdman.

Everyone is spot-on and for the most part,…

Fuck the haters, this movie's a fun time.

Talk about a film that makes you feel sick throughout its runtime.

The level of talent and pure luck that went into making this is almost untouchable. There is absolutely nothing in this film that I don't adore. Even the middle-of-the-movie credits with the aerial dancing circle of hell shot has grown on me with each viewing.

This is one of the most heart-pounding, extreme films I've seen in the past decade and it didn't even need to be as…

    The Fanatic

You fucking people thought Gotti was a meme?

Give this a few months to be the laughing stock of the internet. I seriously couldn't believe what I was watching as I was seeing it.

If it weren't for "The Haunting of Sharon Tate", this would be the worst film of the year, but it's simply too entertaining for me to put it lower than that offensive dumpster fire.

This is gonna be John Travolta's "Wicker Man". A masterpiece of garbage.

  • The Lighthouse

    The Lighthouse

I say with no hesitation that this is the most well made film of the year.

Been hyped for this ever since it was first announced. Robert Eggers is one of the best directors working today and he clearly only involves himself in a project if he wants to make it. Given his speech after the film was over during the Q&A, I think it'll always be that way.

There seriously isn't a weak aspect to the film at all.…
