Aaron T. Rex’s review published on Letterboxd:
Nice to see my fatherland is able to produce a little epic of its own. Featuring beautiful costumes and cinematography, it's a delight to look at. Mikkel Boe Følsgaard is great as the king and Alicia Vikander is lovely as the queen. I usually really like Mads Mikkelsen and he is fine here, but there really is a lack of emoting on his part. He's got a dead look on his face throughout most of the running time.
