The film looks and sounds great especially the dog fights on 4K UltraHD. Action sequences are dope.
Everything else though is absolutely 80s cheese. The dialogue is awful at times and the "love" story is so forced. The rest of the plot is average and very predictable.
Though deserving, the award winning song, "Take My Breath Away," is shoved down your throat as is "Danger Zone."
Honestly, this has enjoyable moments because of it's cheese and the action but the bad parts are absolutely terrible.
Very cute. Enjoyed the message. Animation was great (to be expected). The story only didn't hit every note effectively but I get why people like it. Appreciate the Asian representation. Not at the top of Pixar but not at the bottom either.
