Luigi’s review published on Letterboxd:
This week has been full of surprises, and the next months or so will be too, so I’m happy. My brother has been separating himself from his FIFA pro clubs or whatever, so he’s been having a ton of free time on his hands, and I’m beyond glad to be able to introduce him to so many films. His expressed interest is fascinating to witness.
2OOI was something I warned him about, but he was super willing to after having enjoyed other Kubrick films. Revisiting this after... however long it’s been since June 2019, I’m still in awe. And as I’ve mentioned, being able to share that experience with my brother was one of a kind. Kubrick is a masterful storyteller, and I’m ashamed to say it’s taken me this long to realize he is truly one of my favorite directors. 2OOI: A Space Odyssey (yes, 2 and the letters o o i [looks so cool IMO]) was beautifully made, with such thought provoking sequences. Fantastic.
