Steve Dickson’s review published on Letterboxd:
First watch of the 4k disc and it looks great. I reckon the two Burton Batman’s are the most comic book-ish feeling films. They’ve got that great atmosphere and look to them. The more modern ones just don’t have that total cinematic feel as these do. There is so much detail in this one and the sets are so well done. It’s got its flaws but it’s brilliant fun and it also has the benefit of being a nostalgic one for me. Certainly my favourite Burton films and watching this one again makes me wish he would go for practical effects and sets instead of his CG heavy films he does now. Really enjoyed this watch.
