Steve Dickson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This Chazelle lad is 33. He’s made la la land, whiplash and now this. By 33 my top ten achievements included how to wire a plug and boil an egg.
After seeing this I’m probably not going to bother applying for an astronaut job now as it looks like loads of maths, lots of very dangerous maths.
Joking aside though this guy is a super talented film maker and we are going to have many years of great films from him. Three very different films that are so well made and the stories are told brilliantly. Really impressive stuff and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
