Steve Dickson’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of my favourite comedies ever. Still just as much fun and I watched it with my daughter who is almost six. I did hit the mute button for a certain scene though! She loved it as well and hopefully becomes one her favourites over the years.
I explained to her why they were both chasing the cab at the start and she just said “why didn’t they just share it”. Pretty good point but I said they were probably going to different places. She replied “well one could have dropped the other off”. She’s obviously a good wee kid! Didn’t have the heart to tell her it would have ended up being a pretty rubbish film if that happened.
Anyway I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you what a great film this as you probably already know. I miss the two Johns, they were both great and certainly left an amazing legacy in cinema.
