    The World's End

    ★★★★½

5th viewing. Still haven't seen this anywhere near approaching sober and I don't intend to.

    Return of the Jedi

    ★★★★½

The "4K83" 2160p bootleg sourced from an original 35mm
Eastman print struck directly from the original film negative in 1983.

Thought I'd just give this unauthorised pristine presentation of the original theatrical version a sample but found myself sticking with it till the end. Still flawed in many ways but masterful in so many more. It feels almost petty to penalize it for not being perfect (to an adult), especially after 36+ years of failed attempts to best it.

Also, possibly the greatest assembly of midget performers since THE WIZARD OF OZ.

  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

    ★★★½

The most outrageous and incoherent of all the Star Wars films, almost to the point of surrealism.

Jodorowsky's unmade Dune film is no longer required.

  • Eyes of a Stranger

    Eyes of a Stranger

    ★★★

The gang from KING FRAT are back with this half-way effective thriller with zero fart jokes.

  • Rambo: Last Blood

    Rambo: Last Blood

    ★★★

RAMBO: SHORT BACK AND SIDES is entertaining, to be sure, but it's low-concept, TAKEN-esque story feels like it was picked randomly out of an obliterated cranium.

Oh well, there's always LAST BLOOD PART II...

  • Tammy and the T-Rex

    Tammy and the T-Rex

    ★★★

    Uncut version.

  • VFW

    VFW

    ★★★★

Rollicking Assault on Precinct 13 (with a hint of EFNY) homage with a geriatric cast of favourites that could out-drink The Expendables any day.

  • Lucky Day

Nauls: "Which one of you disrespectful men been tossing his dirty drawers in the kitchen trash can, huh?" *throws soiled undergarments down*

    MacReady picks them up.

  • I Love It from Behind!

    I Love It from Behind!

    ★★★

A young lady endeavours to personally collect 100 penis prints before her impending arranged marriage. Meanwhile, her lesbian friend drugs men and assaults them with a dildo - which they end up enjoying so it's all cool.

Don't worry, it's a comedy, the sex is softcore, the title is a poor reflection of the actual content (unless you consider the violated male victims) and even though it goes for only 65 min, it actually has a legitimate story, so you can still walk the streets with your head held high afterwards...

    Recommended.

    Opera

    ★★★★½

I still can't get over the lead actress' voice dub sounding like 'Tripitaka' from the 70s Monkey (Magic) TV show.

    "Monkey! Stop fighting!"
