Callum Hofler’s review published on Letterboxd:
What's even the point of proposing an analysed description of 2001, when everyone else has already been there, done that? So instead, I'll just say that this was enthralling but often lacking energy; impressive on a visual level and made of brilliant performances. It has a few editing mistakes (which everyone will tell me were put there on purpose, but I still found them distracting and silly, so if they meant anything to Kubrick, good for him!), but for the most part, it is an ambitious, incredible, beautiful film. I just didn't find it as engaging as I wanted to for various parts of the picture.
Maybe it is the incredible quantity of hype this film has received that made it somewhat disappointing, but nevertheless, still a fantastic film.
