Beware of cavemen pirate killers who wander around in the woods.

What's up with the guy in the wheelchair who works so hard to get to the top only to have his head chopped off. LOL

You could argue that this is, objectively speaking at least, total dog vomit, but I'll be damned if I didn't have a ton of fun watching it. I mean, there's almost no trace of pesky things like plot or character development to get in the way of a good time. It's a slasher film that skips all that in favor of focusing on the kills, as random people wandering around in the woods are picked off by... a deranged mountain…

Don't go out into the woods tonight. You probably will be thrilled.

This was just so silly, like the killer wore beads on his face and just kinda looked like a bear? Also, that sleeping bag scene! The entire film (including the ridiculous score) is unintentionally hilarious.

The gore is amusing but I would recommend Madman or Just Before Dawn over this any day.

A bunch of unattractive people go camping in the woods and, as expected in a movie with the title Don’t Go in the Woods, they immediately regret it. These women have some seriously unflattering haircuts that look like the filmmakers decided to cut their hair themselves in the middle of this forest with whatever sharp objects were nearby. The killer is some goofy old hillbilly that just enjoys stabbing people with sticks I guess, it’s not really explained…

A little less boring than the original, but there’s something about how both movies are executed that just feels bland to me.

Considering the Carpenter score, I’d say this is the cinematic equivalent of pushing play on your favorite album while nosediving in a renegade plane.

Despite my curiosity, I had my suspicions about the Firestarter remake. It's bland. Really bland. The story is in such a hurry, and we are thrust into the world sacrificing any character development.

Carpenter and co's score is really the only saving grace here. Honestly this score should have probably been saved for a better project.

Thank god I watched this on digital so I didn't have to burn it.

This was easily my favorite shark movie since 47 meters down uncaged. It’s like a mix of the ruins, spring breakers, & the shallows. This was everything I want from a summer shark film. Catherine Hannay as Milly was the standout performance but all of the acting was pretty good. I had no idea this movie was even coming out, but as soon as I saw it available for rent I jumped on it and I’m glad I did because it was so much fun.

Kicking off the only Friday the 13th in 2022 with a new release!

This definitely wasn’t what I expected it to be. Christina Ricci is terrific as usual. I will say that the third act has a twist that left my jaw on the floor. Definitely didn’t see part of that coming.

Not great. But, an okay one-time watch if you temper your expectations somewhat.
