    This movie proves my point that I shouldn't even bother watching rom-coms that aren't French. Not that this is the best thing ever, far from it. Every trope of both the romance and the sports genre are on full display. And yet, it is just so very delightful. I ascribe it fully to its 50s-French-Cha-Cha-Patina. Seriously, I'm convinced this movie wouldn't work if it were from any other country.

    Additionally, I'm not entirely sure if this movie isn't in actuality…

    So I watched another Argento. This time one of his more grounded gialli. Our lead played by 70s Guy Pearce has that old-timey leading man presence, the charm comes from his sidekicks - an old blind man (Karl Malden who must have had his Rick Dalton moment) and his 8-year-old granddaughter.
