Joe Lynch’s review published on Letterboxd:
With all the respect in the world to Craven’s original, this may be my personal favorite NOES (depending on the day and the direction of the weather).
The level is style, craft, energy and ingenuity here is never fully matched in the series and while some criticize the lighter tone, I felt both a product of the Splatterpunk times and a trailblazer for FX and horror franchises.
It’s a ripper, especially at a theater like the New Beverly with a hungry midnight crowd.
