Joe Lynch’s review published on Letterboxd:
“I don’t know how to cure old.”
Might be a stretch as a comparison, but to me Clint Eastwood is now basically the Tom Cruise of directors, still pushing his physical abilities to tell old fashioned Hollywood stories to the point where it feels like a stunt, a dare. How he can still do it in his 90’s is beyond me but nevertheless an inspiration and I hope being in front and/or behind the camera is his medication, therapy, solace and happiness. It always shows.
I really enjoyed this, like a country song that’s got all the familiar notes and lyrics but sung with casual passion by a true cinematic cowboy not ready to give up the ranch yet.
