there’s one shot in this movie that haunts me for how good it is. it’s when nathan lane is rehearsing and robin williams’ son wants to talk to him and the camera follows the son until it lands on a shot with the son in the background between nathan lane and robin williams. it’s an incredible flex in the middle of a very funny movie. also robin williams and nathan lane are insanely good and even though azaria is playing a “gay Guatemalan” and by today’s standards it would be ripped to shreds i can’t help but lose it every time he’s on screen.
