This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

“I’m just afraid if I die today, my life will have amounted to nothing” — a children’s film, 2020

After Joe’s audition for Dorothea he points up to the sky and says “You see that, dad!” and begins celebrating the possibility of a second chance at the life he always wanted. Leading to accidentally becoming untethered to his body by falling down a sewage hole — leaving his soul lost in the great before — and on an epic journey to…

    Wonder Woman 1984

cartoonish in a way that i wasn’t expecting and i loooved that. this thing was so dumb and fun and ridiculous in all the ways i want these dumb fun ridiculous movies to be.

if this movie did try and be self serious towards the end it failed. but i don’t think it was.

i think they’re pulling a fast one on us and just trying to be a really dumb, fun movie about a woman who has superpowers and stuff and that’s cool. shut up.

    The Vast of Night

so much with so little. definitely gets a little monologue-y at points but what a fun ride. can’t wait to see what this guy does next!

  • Tenet

i cant stop thinking about TENET

  • Tenet

As i said to my very good friend @dyldaws

“It’s about plutonium saving time travel mercenaries, russian time traveling villains, and love but also the multi-verse and also the future but it’s set in the present and they go to the past KEEEP UP DYLLLL!!!”

This movie wants you to watch it 15 times and that is a fucking epic move from WB, the studio that Nolan called “very, very, very, very messy.”

Any big swing deserves some love and Nolan always delivers on the action like no other director! 😘

  • Kajillionaire

why are we not all talking about this????!!!! life-affirming lovely beautiful heartbreaking hilarious thought provoking film. July is a one-of-a-kind filmmaker and i haven’t stopped thinking about this movie for a month now. it is very good watch it okay.

it’s perfect... just the way it is.

as a musical theater lover i relate to keegan michael key’s character in a way that is both uncomfortable and the warmest blanket.

some of the songs don’t work *cough* ZAZZ *cough* KIDMAN *cough* but who gives a shit at one point i had the dumbest fucking smile on my face, i mean... what else can i ask for in a musical movie that when it was on broadway my friends said “you know, it’s uh, like this years dear evan hansen.”

    “Those aren’t pillows...”

It’s thanksgiving and this movie is so fucking tight it hurts. I never stop laughing and care so much for John Candy’s Del it’s unfair.

One of the best heartbreaking reveals of any comedy ever.

I’m not proud of how much i laughed. but it happened. i can’t take it back. I’d consider this a return to form for the Sandman who’s kind of giving us the greatest hits in this one. “O’ doyle rules” makes an appearance. I guess i’m just of a certain age that if that line appears in a movie it’s doing something for me. it’s not good, it’s not bad good, it’s just a movie i enjoyed enough. also, tim meadows.
