Wonder Woman 1984 2020
cartoonish in a way that i wasn’t expecting and i loooved that. this thing was so dumb and fun and ridiculous in all the ways i want these dumb fun ridiculous movies to be.
if this movie did try and be self serious towards the end it failed. but i don’t think it was.
i think they’re pulling a fast one on us and just trying to be a really dumb, fun movie about a woman who has superpowers and stuff and that’s cool. shut up.

The Vast of Night 2019
so much with so little. definitely gets a little monologue-y at points but what a fun ride. can’t wait to see what this guy does next!

Tenet 2020
As i said to my very good friend @dyldaws
“It’s about plutonium saving time travel mercenaries, russian time traveling villains, and love but also the multi-verse and also the future but it’s set in the present and they go to the past KEEEP UP DYLLLL!!!”
This movie wants you to watch it 15 times and that is a fucking epic move from WB, the studio that Nolan called “very, very, very, very messy.”
Any big swing deserves some love and Nolan always delivers on the action like no other director! 😘

Kajillionaire 2020

The Prom 2020
it’s perfect... just the way it is.
as a musical theater lover i relate to keegan michael key’s character in a way that is both uncomfortable and the warmest blanket.
some of the songs don’t work *cough* ZAZZ *cough* KIDMAN *cough* but who gives a shit at one point i had the dumbest fucking smile on my face, i mean... what else can i ask for in a musical movie that when it was on broadway my friends said “you know, it’s uh, like this years dear evan hansen.”

Planes, Trains and Automobiles 1987
“Those aren’t pillows...”
It’s thanksgiving and this movie is so fucking tight it hurts. I never stop laughing and care so much for John Candy’s Del it’s unfair.
One of the best heartbreaking reveals of any comedy ever.

Hubie Halloween 2020
I’m not proud of how much i laughed. but it happened. i can’t take it back. I’d consider this a return to form for the Sandman who’s kind of giving us the greatest hits in this one. “O’ doyle rules” makes an appearance. I guess i’m just of a certain age that if that line appears in a movie it’s doing something for me. it’s not good, it’s not bad good, it’s just a movie i enjoyed enough. also, tim meadows.
