If one is interested in a solid, mainstream narrative presentation of Dracula, look elsewhere. Instead, Herzog uses Stoker's story as a framework to present a steady stream of startling, uncanny images undergirded by Popul Vuh's haunting soundtrack. It's an unforgettable experience.
