Fred 🇵🇷’s review published on Letterboxd:
The 90s debut of everyone's favorite knife-gloved sociopath is a lot of cheesy, ridiculous fun and, in my opinion, an improvement on the previous two entries. Yep, I said it. I love that Rachel Talalay's film creatively swings for the fences with its mythology, rule-bending, and campy attitude. Robert Englund seems to be having the most fun he's ever had as the murdery sweater afficionado in this and that makes a ton of sense for the character when you think about how long he's been offing teenagers by this point. Shit gets boring! You gotta mix it up and laugh to keep from, uh, putting yourself to sleep 😅.
P.S. This features one of the most intense kills of the entire franchise IMO (hint: it involves sound). It's nuts.
