My second watch.
Showed this to my parents. Beautiful, captivating stuff. Uses stillness and silence so effectively and poignantly (the scene with the slide may be my favorite in the film, or at least one of them), plus the performances and sound design are obviously great. Quite effectively portrays the feeling of trying to recapture something lost, which is an idea I find myself resonating with a lot these days (not in a sense that's as life-changing as what Ruben is going through of course). Spent a good amount of the film teary-eyed and cried maybe once or twice.
