    Bohemian Rhapsody

    ★½

After viewing the first official trailer on May 15th, 2018, I felt I could safely say this will be my most anticipated movie not just of the entire year, but maybe ever. I was counting down the days to this film, and reading every single piece of information released for it. I don’t think I could’ve been any more excited than I was.I sat down in the theater, absolutely packed, cramming popcorn down my throat, and then the movie began.…

    Glass

    ★½

We’re not even one month into the year and I’m ready to call Glass one of the biggest disappointments of 2019. It could’ve been amazing, honestly. Too bad Shyamalan has created yet another awful screenplay.

The script is easily the biggest issue. It’s just dumb. The first half an hour of the film is actually pretty solid, but it quickly dissolves into becoming boring, and filled with idiocy. I LOVE these characters in previous films. James McAvoy’s extreme talent he…

For you all who don’t know what this is, Once Upon a Deadpool is essentially a rerelease of Deadpool 2, but cut down to get a PG-13 rating. It had a limited theater release…

There’s a scene where the Grinch is wearing pink shorts that say “work it” while he’s doing squats.

    Mom and Dad

    ★★★

With such an absurd concept, this could I let work if Neveldine and/or Taylor were directing, and Nicolas Cage played the dad. And whadda ya know, they do. And they do a mighty fine job as well. This movie is so incredibly dumb, yet self-aware, that it just seems to work, ever so slightly. Nic Cage pulls off one of his best performances ever (that pool table scene specifically had me in tears laughing), and everyone else is great too.…
