Emma. ★★★

I love a good period romance but this title comes in at a slight disadvantage as this is one of the few Austen titles I don't care for.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Johnny Flynn are charming and have a couple of lovely moments but the movie feels too far removed from emotion and there's little in the way of warmth between these two love-birds - or any of the other characters. Bill Nighy steals EVERY SINGLE SCENE he's in.
