Foxtrot ★★★★

I'd pretty much given up on the idea of seeing this, I just couldn't get into the idea of watching a movie about a family dealing with the death of their son but I was coerced into seeing it and am forever thankful to the person that literally dropped me off in front of the theatre and forced me to see it so she'd have someone to discuss it with because I was floored.

I'm still working my way through some of the feelings but a few things I'm sure about:

- The cinematography from Giora Bejach is stupendous
- The performances from Lior Ashkenazi and Sarah Adler are brilliant
- The second act is a brutally poignant and darkly comedic observation on war
- The world is a cruel, cruel place
