    The best nightmare you have ever had. A dark, atmospheric and confined masterpiece.
    Jarin Blaschke's (DOP) genius decision to use a boxy 1.1:9 ratio confines the two characters together. Before dialogue or any type of action, you can feel the claustrophobia of the lighthouse and the unescapable tension throughout the film. Excellently casted, performed, written and shot. Do we expect anything else from Eggers?

    This is a modern masterpiece of story and cinematography. There is something for everyone to appreciate here, from the sheeple to the cine-purists. If you're complaining about it not being in English and having to read subtitles, fuck off.
