Chris Hormann’s review published on Letterboxd:
A great idea to bring Adam Wingard into the latest iteration of the Godzilla series, he brings a dose of humour to proceedings as well as an expansive feel to this film, going literally to the ends of the earth and then some. Both Kong and Godzilla are stunningly realised on screen, even if there is never quite a sense of jeopardy for our titular heroes. There is a significant surprise which hasn't been spoiled by the trailers (and I won't here) that will have longtime fans cheering. The humans in the film are all reasonably forgettable outside of a fun turn by Brian Tyree Henry but thankfully there's also no shoehorned romantic subplot. All in all, a step up from King of the Monsters and maybe hope for more films to come.
