Chris Hormann’s review published on Letterboxd:
Opening night for Wellington Film Society 2019 and what a cracker to start with. To see David Lynch's masterpiece on the big screen again, with Angelo Badalamenti's score surrounding us in our seats was a dream come true. Plenty has been written about this film, by people who are far better at articulating how good it is. I'll just say I fell in love with this film the first time I saw it and that love has endured and is perhaps stronger after seeing it again at the Embassy. You need answers? Go ahead and look for them but you'll find me just letting the film caress me with its electric embrace. Oh and Club Silencio with Rebekah Del Rio, because that's about as close as anyone can get to cinematic perfection.
