Chris Hormann’s review published on Letterboxd:
You have a wonderful sense of humour. I wish I had a sense of humour, but I can never think of the right thing to say until everybody's gone home.
This film has both a wonderful sense of humour and an outlook that seems completely in keeping with what an modern audience might expect. At once thoroughly silly but also nearly as biting a satire on the upper classes as Renoir. Nearly. But Carole Lombard is a joy, perfectly matched with William Powell.
