  I was enthralled by Law Abiding Citizen until the last 20 minutes, where I feel like it made three fundamental miscalculations.

  The first is that they made the Butler character so meticulous and ahead of the game, and yet his secret base has no security measures? Nothing? I was going to let that slide until the second thing--he put the bomb in a briefcase that could easily be moved? He didn't even tie it down to something? He planned all…

  So routine it feels like a streaming service movie. By-the-numbers script, but the actors at least do their due diligence, particularly Taj Atwal, who's clearly having a blast. The run-of-the-mill nature of this movie is kind of shocking, considering Martin Campbell was once king of the sensitive action picture. Unfortunately, there's not much action...or anything else noteworthy in this film.
