    Men in Black: International

Like the previous Men in Black films, this one is...OK. The leads are charming and I really like the design of the two creepy aliens. Otherwise, it's more of the same. Frankly, I think the best version of Men in Black was the animated series. This didn't change my mind.

This movie is easily 40 minutes too long, and Robert Taylor is stiff as hell and out of place. He seems more like he should play a sinister villain in a spy film. As a con turned cabbie turned con...I just don't buy it. Lana Turner is cute, but kinda useless. Frankly, Johnny's niece Matilda and his drunk buddy (played by Van Heflin) were about the only characters I enjoyed. Not a bad ending. But dang it was overlong.

I didn't feel as burned by "The Phantom Menace" as many, but…

To say the least, balancing tone in a satirical comedy about a German boy in the latter days of the Second World War is going to be challenging. Taika Waititi somehow manages to pull it off in this bananas movie. The grim horrors of Hitler & Co.'s mad war machine is seen through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. Like a lot of 10 year old boys, he wants to belong, he wants to be grown-up, he wants to…
