Graham’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hayao Miyazaki is a grade A genius with so many stunning works to his name, it really is hard to know where to start.
Kiki's Delivery Service is up there with the best of them I reckon. A story of a young witch finding her way in life, having adventures and discovering herself. It's a beautifully drawn film, with a simple premise that just warms the heart.
I watched the English version this time round, and I seem to remember from watching this years ago that the soundtrack is quite different on the original. It's more, you know, Japanese. I was totally happy with this version though as it wasn't overly Americanised in the delivery and kept true to the original theme, with a 7-year old Kirsten Dunst doing a great job with Kiki's part.
Favourite character. Jiji. Always Jiji. Meoww.
