For a 'found footage' drama, this fictional piece felt uncannily real and quite unsettling. The acting from the cast of newbies was solid all round, and at times I forgot I was watching something that was created and not simply a crime documentary. This is not just a ghost story.
Despite having mixed experiences with this genre in the past, I really enjoyed Lake Mungo and would recommend it if you like a good 'n creepy investigative piece that will have the hairs on your neck standing up at times.
