Matt Curione’s review published on Letterboxd:
"I'll probably get blamed for that."
Simultaneously funny, stressful, and surprising, After Hours is a great entry in the "One Crazy Night" genre. Scorsese juggles about 45 different moving parts it's shocking this works, but oh boy it does.
Griffin Dunne gives an all-timer performance as a guy who just WANTS TO GO HOME! You almost feel bad for laughing at all the situations and gags but when a movie is this funny, it's hard not to. Also, hubba hubba, my goodness Dunne is attractive in this, so that's a nice plus.
Also special shout-outs for Terri Garr and Catherine O'Hara, who nearly steal the show.
Yeah, definitely see myself revisiting this on the regular. A major 80s comedy.
